The success of D C Ross as a global supplier of fine blanked components can be categorised into four headings - Innovation, Technology, the application of best practice and Quality Standards throughout all operational activities.

The company currently holds quality accreditation standards shown adjacently; QS 9000, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

Component inspection is carried out to the AIAG PPAP manual requirements. ‘First Off’ and ‘last off’ components are retained from every production run.

Traceable measurement is maintained by having critical items (slip gauges, Coordinate Measuring machine, scales, and Rockwell Hardness tester) calibrated by external agencies. Other gauges and instruments are calibrated against these “Master” instruments.

We design and manufacture all jigs and gauges to ISO standard tolerances.

Each employee is a “line inspector” and responsible for their own quality checks. Our production staff are trained in the use of the gauging and measuring devices that they use to guarantee that the manufactured components meet customer specifications. Where practical, our gauging uses smart electronics to eliminate errors. We use a Browne and Sharpe coordinate measuring machine to measure “awkward” components and for "off-tool" and PPAP inspection reports.

Specialised gauging is designed and manufactured in house to simplify the measuring process. Automated visual gauging systems were introduced in late 1998. These are used after heat treating and plating to ensure no mixed product goes to the customer.
