THE CHALLENGE:

Bendix Brakes wanted a repeat tool with interchangeable parts to make brake pad backing plates. Historically it has been difficult to make the exact same tool with manual manufacturing processes,but the introduction of new technology has meant we can make repeat tools that are virtually identical to the original. 

OUR RESPONSE:

We created a new tool with the exact specifications to the first – but with up-to-date modifications to make it cheaper to run. Our innovative design included readily replaceable punches and die inserts to reduce the maintenance costs and speed reconditioning between runs.
